Research Solution Reference Calculator
A reconstitution reference for laboratory work. Enter the vial size, the bacteriostatic water you'll add, and your target amount — it returns the concentration and the equivalent units on a U-100 syringe scale.
Research Solution Reference Calculator
A reference tool for reconstitution math — concentration and volume on a U-100 syringe scale.
For research-use calculations only. Always verify measurements independently — not medical guidance.
How the math works
Concentration = peptide (mg) ÷ solvent (mL). Volume = target amount ÷ concentration. On a U-100 syringe scale, 1 mL = 100 units, so units = volume × 100. Always verify against your own protocol — this tool is for research reference calculations only.
Calculator FAQ
A U-100 syringe is marked so that 100 units equals 1 mL. Most research reconstitution math is expressed in these units, which is why the calculator outputs both mL and U-100 units.
That is your choice — more water means a more dilute solution and a larger, easier-to-measure draw volume; less water means a smaller draw. The calculator updates instantly so you can compare options.
Many research compounds are measured in micrograms (mcg). Toggle the unit so you can enter the amount in whatever your protocol specifies — 1 mg = 1000 mcg.
